My Thanksgiving Prayer

"Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles,....(1 Chronicles 15:8-12 NKJV)

Lord, I really do thank you and praise your holy name. For you are worthy of all the praise. I thank you most for sending your only begotten Son into the world. Even though, we were dead in our trangressions and sins and followed the ways of the world, you loved us so much that you were willing to offer your only Son for our salvation. O what great love!!! And we praise you for it. O God, who is rich in mercy have made us alive with Jesus Christ.

Lord, I thank you for your grace and mercy. For it is by grace that we are saved, through faith in your Son Jesus Christ. And because of your grace and mercy, we are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of the household of God. You provided a way of escape from the heat and torment of hell. Thank you Lord for sending your only Son. Jesus thank you for coming and surrendering your life on the cross at Calvary.

Life Is So Short

Many of us never stop to think about just how short life is when it is compared to eternal life. We get so caught up the rat race of society that we fail to think about the after life or what the bible refers to as eternity. Yes there is life after one dies and I am not talking about purgatory.....and forget about reincarnation too. That is not going to happen. "It is appointed
for all men to die and after that the judgement." "You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away." (James 4:14, NAS)

In Psalms 90, Moses talks about the shortness of life when compared to eternity.
"Lord, you have been our dwelling place and our refuge in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth or ever you had formed and given birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting you are God. You turn man back to dust and corruption, and say, return, O sons of the earthborn. For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night." (Psalm 90:1-4, Amplified Bible)

When we feel that we cannot go another day with the pressures, pain, frustrations and disappointments that we face in this life, focus upon eternity. This is why it is so crucial to know Jesus Christ as your Savior. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believeth in Him shall have eternal life." John 3:16

You may be saying, "ah I am too young to die" or " I haven't lived my life yet". DO NOT BE DECEIVED! Young people are dying at an alarming rate around the world, either murdered on our streets innocently or from diseases or catastrophes. Only you can make a difference where you will spend eternity - in Heaven or in Hell.

Please, I beg you, please consider choosing Jesus Christ today. God really loves you and He cares for you.

How To Be Born Again

For a great part of my life I thought that being born again consisted of going to church, shaking the preacher's hand, and joining the church. I soon realized that born again or being saved is far deeper that that. Being born again, simply speaking, is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Being saved or born again is a sure necessity if one intends to go to heaven after death. No one can enjoy the blessings of God, nor go to Heaven without being saved. Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:7,"YE MUST be BORN AGAIN." But how do you get saved or be born again.

First, you must realize that you are a sinner. "There is none righteous, no, not one." "For there is no difference: For ALL have sinned, and came short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:10,22,23) And because you are a sinner, you are condemned to die. "For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23) "Sin, bringeth forth death (spiritual death)." (James 1:15)

This means separation from God, in HELL, forever. How terrible. But God loved you and me so much that He gave his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, as our substitute, who bore our sin, and died in our place.

"He hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthinians 5:21)

Jesus had to die. He had to shed His Blood. "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission." Hebrews 9:22. So your sin was laid upon Jesus and He died in your place.

You see, you are included in God's plan for redemption. God "will have all men to be saved, and to come the knowledge of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:4) God does not will or desire that you or "any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

There are no qualifications nor restrictions to being born again. "Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16). Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.".(1 John 5:1). "As many as received Him, to them have he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. (John 1:12).

You may be asking, how can I receive the person of the Lord Jesus and be born again -after acknoledging that you are a sinner and repenting? Here is the answer: "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness." (Romans 10:10) "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and their house." (Acts 16:31)

Simply BELIEVE on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was buried and was raised for your justification. Now call upon
Him and CONFESS that He died and rose again. (For whosoever shall call upon thd name of the Lord, shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
"That if thou shalt CONFESS with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt BELIEVE in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9,10)
